Tiger-Shark Tank: Season 3 is Live at the Ridgefield Playhouse Monday, October 28, 2024
Cheer on Ridgefield-based entrepreneurs and business owners as they pitch their ideas to a panel of esteemed local leaders at the third annual Tiger-Shark Tank, organized by the Ridgefield Economic & Community Development Commission (ECDC).
Doors open at 5:30pm to meet the future moguls, with the show beginning at 6:30pm. Reserve your FREE tickets for general admission seating at Ridgefield.dev/s3.
Four Ridgefield residents will serve as the Judges at Tiger-Shark Tank 3. Jay Walker is the CEO of ApiJect Systems and is the world’s 10th most prolific inventor with over 950 patents. He has founded dozens of companies, including Priceline.com. He also curates TedMed, the TED conference focused on health and medicine. Adam Norwitt is the President & CEO of Amphenol Corporation, a CT-based manufacturer of high-tech interconnect systems. He is also the Board Co-Chair of AdvanceCT, a nonprofit organization that works to promote CT as a place to do business. Suni Harford is the former President of Asset Management and GEB Lead for Sustainability and Impact at UBS. Chris Bishop is the owner of North American Motor Car. He ran Event Marketing at SoBe Beverages before creating the Blue Buffalo pet food brand with his family.
The five presenters will compete for a total of $5,000 in Ridgefield Chamber of Commerce gift cards. Last year’s winner was Rosie Snow Voulgaris of Pop Art! Kids, the local sensory art and learning studio for children ages birth through five years old. Since then, Pop Art! Kids opened a new studio location in Wilton while continuing to sell out all programs at their Ridgefield studio. They have added new offerings such as private parties, a playgroup for children with special needs, and a class led by a licensed SLP who specializes in pediatric feeding that uses sensory play as the basis for overcoming the hurdle of picky eating. They also have a new collaboration with the RHS Theatre Department to combine musical theatre and sensory play to bring childhood stories to life.
The winner of the first Tiger Shark Tank was Olga Chin, the CEO and Founder of InterPrice Technologies, a state-of-the-art debt capital markets technology platform, focused on corporate Treasury teams and their communication with underwriters.
